CORONAVIRUS UPDATE March 22 2020: This event is scheduled to be staged as planned, however a final decision will be made by June 14 when we will know more about the current state of COVID-19.

Jul 11-12 2020

24hr · 12hr · 6hr

Held on our AIMS-measured 2200m Adelaide University Loop and taking in a sample of the renowned Adelaide Parklands every lap, the course allows beginner and experienced runners alike to challenge themselves in an event-type of which there are very few in Australia. The central location means it’s a very short trip into the city centre, or to the famous eateries of North Adelaide.

In 2020 we will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the 24 Hour.

Come and be a part of one of Adelaide’s longest running and most revered ultra running events. 2020 also marks the final time that Ultra Runners SA will be holding this event.

The event features:

  • Discounted registration fee for AURA members (use code A24AURA2020)
  • Perpetual cups for each gender winner of each event
  • Trophies for top 3 male and female in each event
  • Medal for all starters
  • Electronic timing/live web updates and track-side information screens

*Please note we were unable to obtain IAU labelling for our 2020 event due to a change in the requirements of the course criteria. This means that entrants are unable to apply for National Records.

About the “Uni-loop”
A certified 2.200km gravel track, this path circles the University of Adelaide playing fields in North Adelaide. Mostly flat, with only a slight undulation at the back of the Council Depot, the track is well worn and comfortably accommodates two people running side-by-side.

Further information, including the race briefing, will be made available on this page by the end of June. In the meantime, any questions can be emailed to Ultra Runners South Australia.

...I wanted to see what my body is capable of doing in 24 hours.
